Crosseyed Dog
Artist Statement: These photos are of a stuffed, life sized dog that my family owns and keeps within our living room. We received the stuffed toy after our dog that we had had for over 14 years passed away. The toy resembles him in a lot of ways, especially in color and breed of dog. The toy even carries our deceased dog's tag that's attached to the bow that hangs around its neck. The toy means a lot to us since it sort of holds the memories of our past dog. Plus, we like to put the dog in our window to trick possible intruders and ward them away from our home. These photos were taken outside in my lawn and in the tree that hangs over our house. I tried to position him in a way that the light shadows didn't cover his entire face and allowed for some sunlight to bleed through.
Minnie in the Tree
Rooftop Doll Wonder
Artist Statement: I took these pictures of a doll that I made out of corn husk. I then cut out the fabric myself and fitted it around her before gluing it down. Her hair is made out of yarn which is also glued down onto her. I made this doll while my family was visiting Greenfield Village, so she holds lots of good memories of a good trip. I really love history, so I was more than happy to be able to make my own doll the way that they used to do it back then. These photos were taken outside on my roof and another in a pile of sticks that had been cut off of our bushes.

Sneaky Doggy
Mouse on Stick
Artist Statement: These toys are small versions of Minnie Mouse. My friend bought the toy for me when they had gone to the Disney store at the mall. They also happened to buy themselves Mickey Mouse so we could be matching. This toy also happens to smell like an apple blossom, so the outside was the perfect setting for her. This toy means a lot to me, it is one of my favorite gifts that I have ever gotten from a friend. It seemed like a very nice gesture at the time as well. These photos were also taken outside in the tree hanging over my house and in the bush that sits beside my window (which happens to be changing colors).
Horror Doll
Minecraft Apple
Artist Statement: Over the weekend, my family took a trip to the orchard for the first time this fall. While I was there, I took a few pictures of the apples hanging off of the trees before crushing and smashing them against the ground. (These apples were from trees in the parking lots, so it is not likely that they would have been used for anything). Orchards are my favorite places to go when fall starts. I enjoy picking out my own apples and enjoying hot cider with maple donuts. We go to the same orchard every year and they have the best apples and cider.
Crocodile Sniff Flowers

Artist Statement: These are pictures of a foam crocodile (Larry) that my mom bought me from the fall festival. It is attached to a long, bendy wire so you are able to walk it like you would a dog. The crocodile is handmade and is actually very fun to play with, although it is made for little kids. I really enjoy going to the fall festival and looking around at all of the cool items that people spend their time making, plus, the festival is held in a small town, making the festival a little more homey. I took these pictures within a tree and also within my garden. I thought it would be fun to give the crocodile a sort of an alive feel and sort of have it acting in a way. All in all, I adore my foam pet and find the idea of it very fun.
